Using the all-new Caterpillar C30 engines developing a total of 1,550 hp each, the 80 E reaches an incredible 33-knot top end. The 30-liter
(1831 cu. in.) displacement V-12 cylinder turbocharged and after-cooled diesel engine is electronically controlled. The engines take full
advantage of the hydraulically actuated, electronically controlled unit injector (HEUI) fuel system, resulting in an environmentally friendly
engine with outstanding performance and fuel economy.
